Showpony designed an awesome shirt for Kendrick Paint & Body. We donated $2000 from the proceeds to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the RMHCA has not been able to operate at full capacity due to occupancy and social distancing requirements, and they have placed some families in hotels. The hotels were an additional, non-budgeted item, and we’re happy to help cover some of the expense with our donation.

Leading by Example

At Kendrick Paint and Body, we’re lucky and thankful to have an owner who leads by example. In these times of uncertainty and fear, our boss and owner, Steve Kendrick, Jr., is pitching in and washing customer vehicles to ensure vehicles are delivered on time.

Giving Back to Our Local Medical Staff

Kendrick Paint and Body teamed up with Manuel’s Bread Cafe and delivered 100 meals to the hardworking staff at Augusta University. Manuel Carron, Steve Kendrick, Jr., Ansley Kendrick, and Britton Zier delivered they meals at lunch. We were happy to donate and give appreciation for our incredible medical professionals.

We understand the Augusta area is blessed with multiple hospitals and healthcare facilities. We chose Augusta University Hospital/Medical Center, because Ansley Kendrick, a fourth generation employee, is currently enrolled at AU.

Giving Back to the Community

With firetrucks – KPB partnered with David Goodbread and FP Mehan of Insurance Services of Augusta and delivered lunch and dinner to the North Augusta Public Safety.

KPB delivered 100 lunches to Aiken Regional Medical Center.

AUGUSTA TECHNICAL COLLEGE

The youth is our future. The automotive collision industry expects to see an increase in demand for welders, technicians, etc, as more technical schools close and training programs are being eliminated. The Augusta area no longer has a college with training for automotive collision repair and painting. Steve Kendrick, Jr. is proactively preparing for increasing demand for new employees through mentorship programs with Augusta Tech and on the job training.  Several Augusta Tech students interned at Kendrick Paint and Body and learned the basics of automotive collision repair.

In addition, Kendrick Paint and Body offers on-the-job training. We train employees from the ground up. We welcome any potential employees into the body or paint technician field, and no experience is necessary. Only a strong work ethic and desire to learn are required. We match new hires with a seasoned technician to shadow and learn the position.

ENTERPRISE HOLDINGS GRANT

Enterprise Holdings (Enterprise Rent-a-Car) issues grants on behalf of local organizations. For the past several years, Enterprise has partnered with Kendrick Paint & Body to present a $2,000 grant to the American Red Cross Augusta Chapter.

Where does the money go? And, how does it help? The money helps the Red Cross continue operations in our area. The Augusta chapter covers 15 counties with only three paid employees. The remainder are dedicated volunteers. In 2018 alone, we had six natural disasters. As a result, the Red Cross sheltered more people in 45 days than in the last five years combined. WOW! The Augusta chapter sheltered more than 3,000 people during Hurricane Irma. The donations help keep these operations in place to ensure the Red Cross is able to help serve in disasters and tough times.
